Separate the three stages
Uploading, processing by Apple and making a build available to testers are separate stages. A successful upload message does not mean testers can install the build or that it has passed App Review. Sign in to App Store Connect, select the correct team and app, and inspect TestFlight first.
Verify the app and build identity
Compare the IPA’s Bundle ID, version and build number with the app and platform you are viewing. Check upload status and creation time in Build Uploads rather than relying on the filename. If the result is unclear, retain the upload time, tool error and build identifiers, and check Apple’s processing email in the developer mailbox.
Check processing, then distribution
Testers may be unable to install a build while processing is underway. If Apple reports a processing failure, follow the email and status details before rebuilding and uploading again. After processing completes, check the testing group, invitations and requirements for the relevant testing workflow. Internal testing, external testing and App Store release are separate workflows.
If the status remains unclear
Avoid repeatedly uploading the same package as your first response. Record the team, platform, app, version, build number, upload time and full error. Consult Apple’s Build Uploads documentation; if the status is still unclear, follow its instructions to submit Feedback Assistant feedback or contact support. This guide promises neither a fixed processing time nor review approval. Apple’s current interface and rules take precedence.
